This policy explains what we collect when you ask to speak to a financial
adviser through this website, what we do with it, and what you can ask us
to do about it.
This website is operated by Wedding Venue Crashers, Inc, doing business as
Get Going in Business (“we”, “us”). We are
not an investment adviser and we do not give financial, investment,
tax or legal advice. We introduce people to independent advisers. Any
advice you receive comes from the adviser you meet, not from us.
What you give us
When you complete the form, you give us: your name, email
address, phone number, the state you live in, an age range,
a range for the investable assets you told us about, what you are
hoping to get out of a conversation, when you would prefer to
meet, and the answers to a short number of questions about your
priorities, timing and how you are approaching choosing an adviser.
The asset and age figures are ranges you select, not exact values. We
do not ask for, and do not want, your account numbers, your Social
Security number, or any account credentials. Never send those to us.
What we collect automatically
- Your IP address, and the date and time you submitted the form.
- Which advertisement, campaign and page brought you here, including
tracking parameters in the link you followed. - Standard web analytics — pages visited, approximate location,
device and browser — through Google Analytics, described below. - Whether you opened or clicked the emails we send you about your
meeting. See “A note about email tracking” below.
Analytics and advertising
Two third-party technologies run on this site, and they are the only two.
Measured on both live sites on 4 October 2026 — the only external
services any page loads are Google’s and Meta’s.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people
reach the site, which pages they look at and where they leave. It uses
cookies and records technical information such as your approximate
location, device and browser. We use it to understand traffic, not to
identify you.
The Meta pixel. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and this site
contains a Meta pixel. It tells Meta that a visit, a form submission
or a booking happened, so we can tell which advertisements work and stop
paying for ones that do not.
The pixel reports to Meta that a page was viewed, a form was submitted or
a booking was made, together with the technical information Meta collects
when it loads. It is not configured to send Meta your name, email
address or phone number — measured on both live sites on 4 October
2026: the pixel is initialised with no customer data attached.
Meta’s own handling of this data is governed by Meta’s privacy policy,
not ours. You can limit it in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings,
and most browsers offer tracking protection that blocks pixels entirely.
We look up publicly available professional background about you
Please read this part. When you submit the form, we send your email
address and name to People Data Labs, a business-data provider, and
ask what professional background is on file. If they have a record, we
may receive your job title, employer, industry, approximate years of
experience, general location, education, previous roles and links to
public professional or social profiles.
You did not tell us any of this. We ask for it so the adviser you
meet arrives with some context instead of a blank page. It is a
third-party guess keyed to an email address, it is not verified by
us, and it is never used to decide whether you qualify for a meeting.
What we deliberately refuse to keep, every time, even when it is
offered to us:
- any email address or phone number other than the ones you gave us
- your date of birth or birth year
- your street address or postal code
- your gender
- inferred skills or interests
If you would rather we did not do this at all, email us at
service@getgoinginbusiness.com and we will delete what we received and note that
your record is not to be enriched. You can ask before or after your
meeting.
Who we share your information with
- The adviser we introduce you to. This is the purpose of the form.
They receive your name, contact details, state, the ranges you gave,
and what you wrote about what you are looking for — together with the
professional background described above, clearly labelled as looked up
rather than told to us. We introduce you to one adviser, not to a
list, and we do not circulate your details to advisers you have not
been matched with. - Calendly, which runs the scheduling page you use to pick a time.
- Resend, which delivers our email.
- People Data Labs, as described above.
- Google, which operates the analytics described above.
- Meta, as described above.
- Anyone we are legally required to tell, and only then.
We do not sell your information to data brokers, list builders, lead
aggregators, or anyone who will market unrelated products to you. The
adviser pays us for the introduction; that is how this is funded, and it
is the only money that changes hands over your enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry and the record of your meeting for as long as we
need it to run and account for the introduction, and to resolve any
dispute about it. Advisers have ten business days after a meeting to
dispute a charge, so records have to outlive that window. After that we
keep them only as long as our tax and accounting obligations require.
Ask us to delete your information and we will, except where we are
required to keep a record of a transaction that already happened.
Email, and how to stop it
There are two different kinds, and they are worth separating because your
choices about them are different.
Follow-ups about booking. If you ask for a meeting and do not pick a
time, we send up to three emails encouraging you to, and then stop.
These are promotional. Every one carries a one-click unsubscribe
link that works immediately, needs no reply and no login.
Messages about a meeting you have booked. If you book, we send a
reminder the day before and about an hour before, so you are not
caught out by a meeting you asked for.
What the unsubscribe link does today: it stops both kinds. That
is more than we are required to do, and we would rather honour “stop
emailing me” as written than decide on your behalf which of our emails
you secretly wanted. The consequence is that if you unsubscribe after
booking, we will not remind you about your meeting — the time is in
the calendar invitation you already received, and the adviser still has
it.
You can also email service@getgoinginbusiness.com at any point, including to ask
for reminders back.
A note about email tracking
We can see whether our emails were delivered, and whether they registered
as opened or clicked. We are honest about what that is worth: an “open”
is a tiny invisible image loading, some email apps load it automatically
before you see anything, and others block it entirely even when you read
the message. We do not treat it as evidence of anything about you,
and it plays no part in whether you get a meeting or what an adviser is
told about you.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number and agree to it, the adviser or we may
contact you by text about your meeting. Reply STOP to any text to
end it. Standard message rates apply.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we
hold about you, get a copy, have it corrected, have it
deleted, and tell us not to sell or share it. California,
Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and a growing number of
other states grant some or all of these, and we honour them wherever you
live rather than checking your address first.
Email service@getgoinginbusiness.com. We will not charge you, we will not make you
create an account, and we will not treat you worse for asking.
Children
This service is for adults making decisions about their own retirement
savings. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We hold your information in access-controlled systems and transmit it
over encrypted connections. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend
otherwise — but we reduce the risk by not collecting account numbers,
government identifiers or credentials in the first place, and by
discarding the sensitive fields listed above even when a data provider
hands them to us.
Changes
If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change
the date at the top. If a change is significant and we hold your email
address, we will tell you.
